Melting Pot Food Tours has joined forces with renowned Indian food chef and award-winning cookbook author, Farhana Sahibzada, to produce a fascinating, colorful and delicious tour in Little India (aka Artesia, California). Join us to explore the largest Indian enclave in southern California and discover specially selected shops and cafes showcasing exciting food, fashion and cultural traditions of both India and Pakistan.
11 am - 2:30 pm
Chef Farhana is originally from Lahore, Pakistan. She is the former chef and owner of cinnamon STIX, a cafe in Woodland Hills, CA, and she has been teaching Indian/Pakistani cooking for over 20 years in southern California. After being asked repeatedly to host a tour in Little India, Chef Farhana now leads a guided navigation of the Best of India right here in L.A.!

all-vegetarian grocery store with in-house bakery and aisles of imported Indian
and Pakistani grocery items, a department store with Indian clothing,
accessories and a beauty salon, a renowned jewelry store with an entire floor
devoted to 22K gold jewelry, an authentic Indian restaurant for lunch and a
traditional Indian sweets shop. Be prepared to be fully immersed in the
customs and culture of India from narrative provided by both Chef Farhana as
well as the proprietors of the businesses visited.
